USF Announces Exam Preparation courses for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) Designation, starting in October
Tampa, Fla. (Sep. 29, 2009) – The University of South Florida’s Division of Continuing Education is offering exam preparation courses for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) designation beginning in October. This comprehensive instructor-led preparation CMA exam preparation series is based on the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA®) CMA Learning System. The CMA credential is highly recommended for management accounting and finance professionals who work inside organizations where expertise in decision support, planning, and control over value-creating operations is a crucial element of operational success.
The first exam prep course in the series, CMA Part I: Business Analysis, will be offered Saturdays, Oct. 10-Oct. 31 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. at USF Tampa. It covers important aspects of business economics, global business, internal controls, quantitative methods and financial statement analysis. The class is taught by Steven Cohen, CMA®, CPA®, and CFM®, who has over 15 years of progressive accounting experience in a variety of industry settings.
