Registration Fees and Policies
When registering with USF Continuing Education, you agree to our registration policies for withdrawals, refunds, and stated fees.
Course Fees
You must register prior to course start date. Fees are posted for each course. For PWD programs, a late fee is effective five days prior to the course start date. The late fee is $25 for courses up to $500, $50 for courses $501-$2,000, and $150 for courses over $2,000. Senior programs do not have late fees. Note: A course must meet its minimum enrollment five days prior to the start date.
Some programs have special registration procedures and requirements. These are posted on the program/course web page. Some online courses/programs may have different late fee, cancellation, withdrawal and/or refund policies. Check the online program description for details.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, company-approved purchase orders payable to USF Continuing Education. Personal checks, money orders, and cash are not accepted per university policy.
Attendance/Re-sitting Option
To complete our open enrollment noncredit courses satisfactorily, you must attend 80% of multiple class meetings. If you do not meet the 80% criteria, and wish to complete the course satisfactorily, a re-sitting fee of $45 (plus parking) is charged for each day required to achieve the 80% standard. You must register to re-sit specific missed class(es) within one year of the course/program offering, or the time limit established for the start of your certificate program.
One-day classes require full-day attendance. There is no re-sitting option for one-day classes.
USF CE reserves the right to cancel courses not reaching minimum enrollment which may affect your ability to achieve the 80% attendance criteria through the re-sitting option. The re-sitting fees are refunded only if the class is cancelled.
Course Withdrawals/Transfers/Refunds
USF CE reserves the right to cancel any noncredit course, in which case registration fees are fully refunded. If it becomes necessary for USF CE to cancel, postpone or combine courses, or change a course location, you will be notified by email or phone, so it is important that we have your current contact information. If a course is cancelled, you may transfer to another course during the same term or receive a full refund. If a registration is received after the enrollment limit has been reached, a full refund, including parking fees, will be issued.
If you withdraw more than five days prior to the course start date, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee, or you may apply it to another course within the same term and pay any difference in the fees.
If you withdraw one to five days prior to the course start date, you will be charged an administrative fee of $35 for courses up to $500, $75 for courses $501-$2,000, or $200 for courses over $2,000 and refunded the remainder of the registration fee. You may transfer to another course within the same term for a $35 transfer fee and pay any difference in the fees.

Allow 5-7 working days for credit card refunds, 6-8 weeks for check refunds.
